Inside Our Spanish Immersion Camp
👧 Ages 11–14:
Younger learners will travel virtually to a Spanish-speaking country, move their bodies through dance, explore Latin music, and even cook a kid-friendly recipe — all while learning and hearing Spanish in context.
This is a hands-on Spanish immersion for kids that uses visuals, gestures, and repetition to ensure every child feels included, even if they’re new to the language.
🧑 Ages 15–18:
Our Spanish camp for teens offers a deeper cultural experience with engaging, age-appropriate content that encourages conversation and critical thinking.
Whether they’re beginners or heritage speakers, this is a chance to connect with Spanish in a fun, meaningful way — without pressure. Spanish is the main language used, with light English support only when needed.

What to Expect Each Day

🌍 Day 1 – Virtual Travel Through Latin America
Our Spanish immersion camp for kids and teens begins with a virtual adventure! Campers explore iconic landmarks, regional customs, and beginner-friendly vocabulary — all in Spanish. We focus on Colombia’s geography, history, and fun cultural facts to bring the language to life.
💃 Day 2 – Dance & Movement: Discovering Vallenato
Kids will move, dance, and engage with the rhythm of Vallenato — a traditional Colombian music and dance style. Guided in Spanish, learners follow along using movement-related words and expressions while exploring the cultural roots of Latin dance.
🎶 Day 3 – Latin Music Exploration: “La Bicicleta”
Learning Spanish through music is a fun and powerful experience for our campers. In this session, we’ll dive into “La Bicicleta” by Shakira and Carlos Vives — exploring not just the lyrics, but also the geography, cultural references, and the artists themselves.
This interactive lesson helps learners build real-world Spanish skills through melody, rhythm, and movement — all in a supportive, immersive environment.
🍽️ Day 4 – Cooking Day: Taste the Culture
We wrap up our online summer camp with a fun cooking experience — preparing Arepas and a tropical drink together. Campers will learn Spanish food vocabulary, follow simple instructions, and enjoy a cultural celebration from the comfort of home.
Who This Spanish Camp Is For
For Beginners, Heritage Speakers, and Everyone in Between
This Spanish summer camp is designed for kids and teens who want to experience Spanish through real-world culture — not just textbooks or worksheets.
We welcome learners ages 11-14 and 15–18, whether they’re brand new to Spanish or already have some experience. Sessions are conducted primarily in Spanish, using visuals, movement, and repetition to help everyone feel included and engaged.
English is used only when necessary to clarify meaning — otherwise, the goal is immersion, joy, and meaningful connection.
At Habla Hogar, we believe language is best learned when it’s lived — through music, dance, food, and stories. If your learner is curious, open-minded, and ready to explore, they’ll fit right in.
Each session runs for 4 consecutive days (Monday to Thursday), live on Zoom, in small, supportive groups of 2–6 learners.
